Climate change is now widely recognized as the major environmental problem facing the globe. The world’s economy is considering “green growth” strategy as a one of the solution for the current crisis, opening up new prospects for climate- change negotiations at the 15th Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP15) in Copenhagen in December 2009. In this presentation, we introduce the new high school teaching resources with the emphasis on green growth technology and philosophy.
First, we present green growth education as well as the sustainable growth. Second, we show the Korean green growth curriculum introduced in 2010. Finally, we develop several sample projects that cover green growth concept in education practice. Our research is expected to help educators at various educational levels to implement green growth concept to their education methods.
